When Do 2027 Australian Grand Prix Tickets Go On Sale?

Albert Park race organisers have announced that 2027 Australian Grand Prix tickets will go on sale on October 6. Here’s all you need to know about how to secure your tickets.

Attracting a 4-day crowd of over 480,000 fans, the Australian Grand Prix is one of the best-attended weekends on the Formula 1 calendar. Demand for tickets for the Melbourne race is always high and is likely to remain so in 2027.

With demand at an all-time high, race organisers have introduced a controversial new membership program, which grants fans early access to ticket sales albeit at a hefty fee. The new membership programme has not been met with enthusiasm from fans, nor have the increased ticket prices for the 2027 event.

The 2027 Australian Grand Prix is set to take place on April 2-4. Having been the opening round of the season in the last two years, the Albert Park race will be the third round of the season in 2027.

For the 2025 race, the start of ticket sales for the Australian Grand Prix via Ticketmaster was delayed by 24 hours due to a “global third-party outage”. When eventually available, the majority of tickets sold out within an hour. There was no repeat of the problems for the 2026 race, for which tickets sold out via the promoter just minutes after going on sale, selling out in record time.

New Australian Grand Prix Membership Pre-Sale Introduced

New for 2027, race promoters have introduced the “Albert Park Circuit Club” for fans seeking early access to Australian Grand Prix tickets.

The race’s “Access” program, which rewarded repeat ticket buyers, was discontinued for 2026. The new membership system differs somewhat from the old Access program.

There are three levels of Albert Park Circuit Club membership available:

  • Premium Member: Membership is priced at a staggering $1,275 AUD and is the only way to secure access to the now Premium Members-only Brabham Grandstand. Your actual grandstand ticket will cost upward of $910 AUD on top of this members fee.
  • Grandstand Member: Membership is priced at $750 AUD, granting you a reserved seat in any selected Grandstand except the Brabham, American Express and Engineers Australia Grandstands. Your actual grandstand seat will cost between $620-$1,295 on top of this members fee.
  • Park Pass Member: Membership is priced at $275 AUD. Your actual Park Pass ticket will cost an additional $425.

As well as priority ticket sale access, members will receive other perks. Premium Members will have the ability to renew with the exact same seat annually, while Grandstand members can renew their access each year before membership opens to new members. All membership tiers include early access to the venue on race weekend, member-only entry lanes at selected gates, welcome packs, discounts on merchandise, member events throughout the year and dedicated support.

For perspective, at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix, a four-day seat in the Brabham Grandstand cost $825 AUD. For 2027, organisers are asking for a $1,275 AUD Premium Membership fee for the Premium Members-only stand, plus at least $910 AUD for the actual grandstand ticket itself. It puts the grand total at up to $2,185 AUD – a massive 165% increase on the 2026 figure. Learn more and view the complete pricelist: How Much Does it Cost to Attend the 2027 Australian Grand Prix?

The members pre-sale begins at 12pm AEST on Thursday, October 1. Read the full FAQ section on membership via the official Australian Grand Prix website.

When Do 2027 Australian Grand Prix Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix will be made available to the general public from 12:00pm AEDT on Tuesday, October 6.

Prior to the general on-sale date, there will be a pre-sale for American Express card holders, with an Amex pre-sale taking place from 12:00pm AEST on Friday October 2. General admission tickets, grandstand seats and selected hospitality packages will be available to purchase in this pre-sale, which runs until Sunday, October 4. Last year, only a limited number of tickets were made available and most fans missed out when applying for tickets in the Amex pre-sale.

Dynamic Pricing Shelved – But Prices Increase Again

Controversial dynamic pricing models – which incrementally increased ticket prices based on the level of demand – were scrapped at the Australian Grand Prix ahead of ticket sales for the 2026 event. On the surface, it appeared to be good news. However, 4-day ticket prices for the 2026 Australian Grand Prix increased by up to 25% compared to the starting prices in 2025.

Prices have risen again for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix, which for the first time will feature the F1 Sprint format, with Fox Sports noting that ticket prices have more than doubled in the last five years. Event CEO Travis Auld says that ticket prices reflect a “desire to keep investing in the event”:

“We’ve tried to manage ticket prices, like every year, to make sure the event remains accessible but also then to balance that with the interest in the event and the increasing cost of putting on major events but also our desire to keep investing in the event. Whether we want to grow our music offering, our food offering, our celebration of Melbourne’s culture – all those things come at a cost, and so we need to balance all those things up.”

Park Passes (general admission access) remain the cheapest option for tickets to the Australian Grand Prix in 2027. A 4-day Park Pass costs $425 AUD in 2026 – an increase of $40 AUD from last year.
