The Ricciardo Grandstand is situated on the inside of the Albert Park Circuit between Turns 3 and 4, offering views over one of the most technically challenging sections of the Albert Park Circuit. After widening the corner in 2022, Turn 3 has presented drivers with another overtaking opportunity, and the Ricciardo Grandstand puts fans in the box seat. Best accessed via Gate 2, the Ricciardo Grandstand has superscreen viewing available and is only a short walk from Albert Park’s Melbourne Junction and Lakeside precincts. Premium seats are available in the Ricciardo Grandstand at an additional cost. Premium seats are undercover but do not provide full weather protection.
Ricciardo Grandstand: Need to Know
- Ricciardo grandstand is situated on the inside of the circuit, between Turns 3-4
- Due to the positioning of the grandstand, Ricciardo doesn’t offer very good views of Turn 3. If you want a better front-on view of the overtakes into Turn 3, better to go for the Hill grandstand opposite
- Ricciardo offers individual plastic seats with backs
- A large TV screen is located directly opposite Ricciardo grandstand (section C) with good visibility from all seats
- Ricciardo is separated into Seven Sections: A-G
- Section A is closest to Turn 3, whilst Section G is closest to Turn 4
- Covered seats in higher rows (the more expensive Ricciardo Premium seats) are only available in sections A-D
- Sections A-D: Uncovered rows begin at A (closest to the track) and end at K, while covered seats begin at row L and end at row T (top row)
- Sections E-G: All uncovered. Rows begin at A (closest to the track) and end at J (top row).
How to access Ricciardo Grandstand?
The closest entry for Ricciardo Grandstand is at Gate 2 on Canterbury Road. Gate 2 is easily accessible via free trams on race weekend that run from Spencer Street Station. After entering at Gate 2, you will need to cross the track at the nearby pedestrian bridge. Ricciardo grandstand is a short walk away.
Where are the best seats in the Ricciardo Grandstand?
Arguably the best seats in Ricciardo Grandstand are in sections F and G, where you can see the cars taking Turn 4 and accelerating away. Seats in sections A and B have better views of Turn 3, but only the exit of the corner. If there are overtakes and incidents at this corner, you’ll only be able to see the end of the action. (Better views of the overtakes into Turn 3 can be found in the Hill grandstand opposite.) One advantage of the Ricciardo Grandstand is that it’s really close to the track. Unfortunately, the grandstand is not very well elevated, and not even the high row seats can see over the trackside catch fencing. Another point to consider for fans sitting in the higher covered seats is that the roof supports can partially obstruct views from the grandstand.
How much do Ricciardo Grandstand tickets cost?
Dates have not been announced and tickets are not yet on sale for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix. Sales are expected to start in late September or early October. In 2026, 4-day tickets for the Ricciardo grandstand were priced at $690 AUD ($495 USD).
