Ahead of this year’s Hungarian Grand Prix, we had the opportunity to check out the views from the majority of the grandstands at the Hungaroring. Strong demand for tickets to this race has seen the organizer add lots of new grandstands in the past few years.

The grandstands reviewed in this article are located on the outside of the circuit between the pit exit and the first turn. The T1 grandstand offers the best views here, though it is priced higher than the Pit Exit 1-2 grandstands. All of these grandstands are a good place to watch the start of the race, as they offer excellent views down the start-finish straight. Access to T1 & Pit Exit 1,2 Grandstands

The closest entrance gate for the T1 and Pit Exit 1-2 grandstands is Gate 8, which is near both the main entrance gate and the taxi rank at the Hungaroring, as well as being close to the drop off and pick up point for City Shuttles to Hero’s Square. Concessions are located directly behind the T1 grandstand and close to the Pit Exit 1-2 grandstands. Seats in all three grandstands (plus the Hungaroring grandstand) are located in the Yellow zone at the Hungaroring, see spectator map below.

Grandstand T1 & Pit Exit 1,2 Seat Types

All of these grandstands offer individual bucket seats with backs. Row numbers start from 1,  lowest and closest to the track.

T1 Grandstand

  • Rows 1-26 (Row 1 is lowest and Row 26 is highest)
  • Sectors A-B, C-D, E-F, G-H, J-K (each two sectors share a stairwell)
  • Sectors A-B are furthest left when facing the track and closest to T1
  • Temporary toilets are located directly behind the grandstand

The T1 grandstand offers excellent views of Turn 1 at the Hungaroring, which is one of the most popular places to overtake at this tricky, compact circuit. The best views are from sectors A and B, which are closest to the corner. To not have your views compromised by the catch fencing, you’ll need to be seated in row 10 or higher. Starter | Turn 1 Ticket Packages from F1 Experiences include a 3-day seat in the T1 grandstand plus exclusive trackside activities.

Pit Exit 1 Grandstand

  • Rows 1-12 (Row 1 is lowest and Row 12 is highest)
  • Row 13 is ADA platform
  • Sectors A-B, C-D, E-F (each two sectors share a stairwell)
  • Sectors A-B are furthest left when facing the track and closest to T1

The Pit Exit 1 grandstand is located approximately equidistant between the pit exit and Turn 1 at the Hungaroring. The seats in sectors A-B have the best views of Turn 1, whilst the seats in sectors E-F have the best views of the pit exit and start-finish straight. This is a solid mid-price grandstand at the Hungaroring, though we still prefer the grandstands with a view of the final corners. Hero | Pit Exit 1 ticket packages from F1 Experiences include a 3-day seat in the Pit Exit 1 grandstand plus exclusive trackside activities.

Pit Exit 2 Grandstand

  • Rows 1-13 (Row 1 is lowest and Row 13 is highest)
  • Sectors A-B, C-D, E-F, G-H (each two sectors share a stairwell)
  • Sectors A-B are furthest left when facing the track and closest to T1, sectors G-H are furthest right and offer good views of the end of the pit lane

The Pit Exit 2 grandstand is located closer to the pit exit, pits and start-finish line than Turn 1, though seats here offer a distant view of the cars going into the first turn. This grandstand is more recommended for those who want to keep up to date with the action in the pits, as well as have a good view for the start of the race. Seats in sectors G-H to the right of the grandstand have the best views of the teams at the end of the pit lane (this year, it was Stake Sauber and Williams). Tickets for the Pit Exit 2 grandstand at the 2026 Hungarian GP went on sale on January 15, 2026.
