The Grand Prix 2 grandstand is positioned between the Grid and Apex grandstands at the Hungaroring, on the exit of the final turn. It has good views of the final turn, pit entry and start-finish straight, as well as more distant views of the pit boxes of the fastest teams. In our opinion, the Grand Prix 2 grandstand is an excellent budget choice for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Grand Prix 2 grandstand is located almost directly behind the Grand Prix 1 grandstand, offering similar but more distant and elevated views. (Please note that we didn’t visit the Grand Prix 2 grandstand, so that is not part of this review.)
At the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix, 3-day Grand Prix 1 grandstand tickets were priced at €335 EUR and sold out very quickly. (Grand Prix 2 tickets were slightly cheaper at €270 EUR for 3 days, and are also sold out.)
Access to Grand Prix 1-2 Grandstands
Seats in the Grand Prix 1-2 grandstands are located in the Blue zone at the Hungaroring, see spectator map below. Gate 6 is the closest entrance gate to the Grand Prix 1-2 grandstands . You can also walk to these grandstands from Gate 8 in about 10 minutes or Gate 3 in about 20 minutes. The Grand Prix 1-2 grandstands are located a little closer to the fan zone behind the Hungaroring (Main) Grandstand, but also not far from the new fan zone. Concessions and toilets are located nearby, as well as in both fan zones.
Grand Prix 1-2 Grandstand Seat Type & Layout
The Grand Prix 1-2 grandstands offer individual bucket seats with backs. All sectors of the Grand Prix 1 grandstand have the same layout, with 29 rows of seats. Row 1 is lowest and closest to the track, whilst row 29 is highest and next to the entrance of the grandstand. You enter via a path that runs directly behind the grandstand.
Grand Prix 1 Grandstand
- Previously called the Red Bull grandstand,
- Sectors A-B, C-D, E-F, G-H, J-K, L-M (two sectors share each staircase),
- The layout of all sectors is the same, featuring 29 rows (1 is lowest and closest to the track, 29 is highest and next to the entrance of the grandstand)
- Seats in high row numbers are preferred in the Grand Prix 1 grandstand,
- One large TV screen is located opposite the middle of the Grand Prix 1 grandstand. All sectors have a good view of this screen.
In our opinion, there’s not really any ‘bad’ sectors in the Grand Prix 1 grandstand, though we do prefer higher row seats for better panoramic views above the trackside catch fencing. All the sectors offer broadly similar views of the final corner and the start-finish straight. If the starting grid and pit boxes are more interesting to you, it’s better to sit in sectors A-B. If you prefer more close-up views of the cars taking the final corner, sectors J-K and L-M offer the best views.

2026 Hungarian Grand Prix: Grand Prix 1-2 Grandstand Ticket Prices
For the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix, 3-day tickets for the Grand Prix 1 grandstand were priced at €270 and 3-day tickets for the Grand Prix 2 grandstand were priced at €335. Both grandstands are currently listed as sold out via the official ticket agent.
