After joining the Formula 1 calendar in 2016, Baku City Circuit has staged several exciting races. With a low number of international visitors making the trip to Baku and excellent organization, we really recommend attending this race. Baku is also a fascinating destination and the city centre location of the track allows you to really immerse yourself in the local culture and history. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is set to remain on the F1 calendar until at least 2030. Tickets for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix went on sale in November, with a 10-15% early-bird discounts in place until the end of January.

Where to Buy Baku F1 Tickets?

  • We recommend buying your tickets for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix from our trusted supplier, Grand Prix Tickets (GPT). Tickets are official and from the promoter’s allocation. When buying more than one ticket in one transaction, you will be seated together.
  • We also recommend Official Ticket Packages from F1 Experiences. Choose from grandstand packages with exciting trackside activities from $899 USD or upgrade to Champions Club or Paddock Club hospitality. Paddock Club packages are now on sale for 2026 and Baku is once again expected to offer the cheapest access on the whole F1 calendar ($6,499 USD for 3-day access)

Need to Know: Azerbaijan Grand Prix Tickets

  • All grandstands have numbered seats & offer a view of a large TV screen
  • All 4-day grandstand tickets include access to entertainment zones around the circuit, as well as the pit lane walk on Thursday afternoon and concerts at Crystal Hall on Saturday & Sunday nights
  • General Admission (GA) tickets are only available for 3 days and do not include access to the pit lane walk (on Wednesday in 2026, normally Thursday) or the concerts at Crystal Hall. GA tickets generally don’t go on sale until much closer to race weekend.
  • The grandstand seats are black and can get really hot in the sun! Bring along a towel or something to cover your seat.
  • Children’s tickets are available in all grandstands for children aged 2-16 years. The average discount on the price of an adult ticket is approximately 30%. Tickets are not required for children aged under 2 years, provided they do not occupy a seat, but organizers don’t recommend bringing very young children to the race.

Grandstands at Baku City Circuit

Due to the circuit’s location in the city centre, few grandstands offer views over more than one or two corners. We recommend sitting in one of the grandstands closer to the start/finish line, as they offer better access to the excellent fanzone. The pricing of the grandstands normally provides decent guidance on which will provide the best views. After the Absheron (Main) Grandstand, the second best is Azneft overlooking Turn 16. Special mention for the cheaper Icheri Sheher grandstand, which is located at the exit of the tricky series of turns near the old city walls. Two sections of the track (between Turns 6-7 and Turns 19-20) use the same section of road, so you can see both sections when you are seated in the Mughum, Sahil & Khazar grandstands near these sections.

Absheron Grandstand

Interested in the pits action, start and finish? Go for a seat in the most expensive Absheron (Main) grandstand, which is also the only covered grandstand in Baku. Absheron is separated into five sections. The largest, section C, is in the middle of the main straight and offers the best views of the start/finish line and pits. For the best racing action, choose seats in section E, closest to Turn 1.

Azneft Grandstand

Sitting on the exit of Turn 16, the Azneft grandstand offers some of the best grandstand views at Baku City Circuit. It’s set back some distance from the track, but views above the first few rows are generally not obstructed by the catch fencing. The grandstand is situated in front of the start of the Fanzone, which runs along the beachfront promenade known as the ‘Bulvar.’

Filarmoniya Grandstand

Located on the inside of the track before Turn 16 and named after the nearby Baku State Philharmonic Hall, the Filarmoniya Grandstand doesn’t offer the best track views at Baku City Circuit. It is one of the cheapest grandstands offered, however, and always sells out quickly. If you can afford to spend a little more, the nearby Azneft Grandstand offers much better views. 4-Day Filarmoniya Grandstand tickets are already sold out via the promoter for 2026, but still available via our supplier (link above).

Icheri Sheher Grandstand

The only grandstand located in Baku’s Old City offers decent views of the cars taking Turn 12. Depending on where you sit in the grandstand, you may also get a view of the cars exiting Turn 11 or blasting down the straight to Turn 13. The downside of the Icheri Scheher grandstand is that access can be a bit tricky due to road closures, and it’s also a long way from the atmosphere and activities in the Fan Zone on the foreshore.

Marina Grandstand

New for 2026, Marina is an affordable grandstand located on the outside of the circuit opposite the Turn 17 kink. It offers views of the cars exiting Turn 16 (Azneft) and beginning Sector 3, the high-speed run to the chequered flag. Not great views here, but better than the similarly-priced and nearby Filarmoniya Grandstand. Another benefit of Marina over Filarmoniya is that the fan zone with activities, food, drink and merchandise stalls is situated right behind the grandstand.

  • 4-Day Marina Grandstand tickets are alreaedy sold out via the promoter and our ticket company for 2026

Giz Galasi Grandstand

Named after the iconic Maiden Tower situated opposite (Qız qalası in Azerbaijani), the Giz Galasi Grandstand is one of the cheaper options at Baku City Circuit. Located just to the right of the new Marina Grandstand, Giz Galasi is directly opposite Turn 20 (which is more of a high-speed kink) and faces the iconic Maiden Tower, but views to the left and right are compromised by trees. For the same price, we recommend the Khazar Grandstand.

Sahil Grandstand

Slightly more expensive than the adjacent Bulvar Grandstand, Sahil faces the same super-fast straight that completes the lap at Baku City Circuit. Just like the Bulvar Grandstand, views here are compromised by trees. The advantage of Sahil, and why you are paying a little more, is that it also faces the slow-speed Turns 5 and 6. Two views for the price of one! Recommended. (Sahil grandstand image above courtesy Baku City Circuit)

Mugham Grandstand

Similar to the Sahil Grandstand (and at the same price point), Mugham offers views of two sections of the circuit. Directly in front, you can see the cars passing at speed as they exit Turn 19 and begin the long (almost) straight section that completes a lap of Baku City Circuit. Opposite and slightly to the left of the grandstand, you can see the cars decelerating to take the slow-speed Turn 7. For the same price, Sahil is slightly better, but Mugham is still a good mid-price grandstand in Baku. Mugham also offers good access to the main fan zone behind the grandstand.

Bulvar Grandstand

One of the cheaper grandstands at Baku City Circuit, Bulvar is situated on the outside of the half, around halfway down the long (almost) straight section of the track that finishes the lap. The biggest downside of Bulvar is that views to both the left and right are compromised by trees. That means you will only get a very short glimpse of the cars passing right in front of you at high speed. For the same price, Khazar Grandstand (see below) offers much better views.

Khazar Grandstand

The pick of the affordable grandstands at Baku City Circuit, Khazar is unique on the F1 calendar (unless we are mistaken!) for offering distinct views of two separate straight sections of track in which the cars are traveling in different directions. Khazar overlooks the final Turn 20 at Baku City Circuit, which is more of a kink and is taken at full speed. Due to the curvature of the track before this corner, most seats in Khazar also offer views down the straight towards Turn 19 (views towards the start/finish line are blocked by an overpass), as well as the cars going the other way on the straight between Turns 6-7. The real advantage of this grandstand, though only officially available to those sitting on the far right aisle seats, is the direct and close-up[ view of the slow-speed Turns 5-6. Not surprisingly, fans tend to congregate at this end of the grandstand during practice sessions, though presumably the grandstand staff prevent this happening during the race itself.

Zafar Grandstand

An affordable grandstand introduced in 2025, Zafar is situated on the outside of the circuit on the start-finish straight, close to the finish line and the pit entry. Zafar is good for the race build up and start, but otherwise only offers views of the cars passing at high speed. Good access to the best of the fan zone. 4-Day Zafar Grandstand tickets are already sold out via the promoter for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Hospitality Suites at Baku City Circuit

There’s far fewer hospitality suites offered in Baku than at the majority of circuits on the current Formula 1 calendar. In fact, the only official hospitality suite sold for the race until 2024 was the exclusive Formula 1 Paddock Club above the pits. Much like Monaco however, there’s plenty of unofficial viewing happening from many hotels and private apartments that line the city-centre street circuit. Interestingly, few (if any?) of these are marketed to international F1 fans, who are more likely to be victims of scams when trying to book apartments with direct trackside views.

  • Champions Club: Introduced at Baku City Circuit in 2025, the Champions Club by F1 Experiences is an established mid-range hospitality product that’s now available at almost every race on the current F1 calendar. As well as enjoying all-inclusive food and drinks with an open bar, guests also receive an allocated seat in the new Champions Grandstand, which offers views of the pit entry and starting grid. One of the best inclusions of the Champions Club is a guided tour of the Formula 1 Paddock, where you have the chance to meet drivers and celebrities. Champions Club 3-Days Packages are on sale now for 2026.
  • Formula 1 Paddock Club: Baku offers the cheapest tickets to the exclusive Formula 1 Paddock Club hospitality suite on the 2026 F1 calendar ($6,499 USD for 3-day access). Guests in the Paddock Club – located on the start-finish straight above the pits – enjoy high-end cuisine, open bars, daily pit lane walks, and when buying via F1 Experiences, a guided tour of the F1 Paddock. F1 Experiences also offers Legend Ticket Packages ($9,600 USD for 3-day access), which offer all the benefits of the Paddock Club experience, plus a VIP Paddock Pass for one day and priority access in the pitlane for the post-race podium ceremony.

General Admission at Baku City Circuit

The cheapest tickets at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix don’t offer a reserved seat and views are quite limited. Small standing platforms are available, especially on the fast straight that runs along the foreshore (next to the Fan Zone), but views are limited. The best area for General Admission is located next to the Azneft grandstand, offering views of the cars negotiating and exiting Turn 16. Please note that for recent editions of the race, General Admission tickets have not gone on sale until much closer to race weekend.

  1. Hi is there like a place outside the racetrack (Restaurant) to watch the Azerbaijan grand prix for 2017?

    1. Hi Isaac, it’s possible that such places exist, but we don’t have any information yet. We will let you know if we find out more!

  2. Hi Andrew, would you know if the General Admission tickets allow for decent views of the racing? Or would it make more sense to buy in one of the grandstands?

    Thanks for your help.

    1. As the General Admission tickets are only available for single days, it makes sense to buy a cheaper grandstand ticket if you are going for all 3 days of the weekend. You still get to use the General Admission areas and it works out cheaper.

      1. We bought general for race day in Baku coming from Cape Town South Africa any advise you can give us for best views and experience

    2. Theo Borgerding

I live in Baku and have attended some of the F1 events with General Admission tickets. My favorite spot was turn 19 next to the Mugham grandstand. cars nearest are builing up to top speed for the final straightaway, and you can also see the cars opposite execute the tight Turn 7, and then disappear into the Old City in turn 8.
There are plenty of places to walk and relax. The only downside is that you are standing to watch the racing.

  3. Hi Andrew, is it possible to specify the area of any grandstand? E.g. south/north part or upper/middle/lower seats?

    1. Hi Ewan, it’s not possible to choose specific seats, but you can make a request for a specific areas when purchasing with Gootickets, and they will try to accommodate you from their allocation of tickets..

  4. Hi Andrew,
Planning to travel for the baku grand prix. On a budget and just want to view the race with my wife and 10 month old. Which stand would you recommend? Do I need to buy a ticket for my 10 month old? Also if a buy a ticket now, any possibility to return/refund the ticket in case of change in travel plans? Help would be highly appreciated.

    1. Hi Ali, I’d just buy one of the cheaper grandstands like Bulvar, which is also well located close to the F1 Fan Zone.

Information about your child: “Children under age two (2) do not need a Ticket when accompanied by an adult companion Ticket Holder (over the age of eighteen (18)) in possession of a Ticket and valid ID. Children (under age two (2)) will have to be kept on an adult’s lap without occupying a seat.”

You won’t be able to get a refund or return your tickets if your plans change. In that case, the only option would be to try and sell the tickets on to someone else.

        1. Hello, with the 2020 race doubtful (unless it gets rearranged), I’d be looking at going to this race in the next year or 2, as this is a race that I really want to tick off my list, and Baku looks like a spectacular place to visit. I’d love to make a mini holiday out of my trip. I’m happy to pay for a main grandstand seat, but I was also wondering how much of the city gets closed down for the race?
The old city sections look quite cool to explore, but are they closed to the public during the race weekend? Does the cost of accommodation go up dramatically over this weekend?

    Hi Andrew..
Looking to travel to the Baku GP in April with my wife and 8month old kid. Is there any way to buy the Absheron Stand Ticket but only for Quali + Race day? Every where I’ve looked I’ve seen 04 Day tickets for Absheron.

  6. Hi Andrew,
I’ve a trip planned in the region during 2019 Baku F1 race week. I was planning to attend the race on Sunday. Is there a ticket location where I can get race day grandstand ticket? If not which grandstand (Mugham or Icheri Sheher) would you suggest for sat+sun ticket. Other then the main grandstand which grandstand has the best action (overtaking).
    Thank you

  7. Hi

Coming through for the 2019 Baku GP. Would like to know:
    1) What area in Baku is it best to stay – will be attending quali and the race
    2) Any recommendations in terms of hotels?
    3) Cheapest way to book tickets – gooticketc?F1expericences?
    4) Do grand stand tickets allow access to general admission areas and are seats reserved? Can I request tickets higher up – to provide better views?
    5) Any other attractions in Baku worth checking out? Will be there from the Friday – Monday/Tuesday.

    Any advice is much appreciated!

    1. Hi Aj,
      1) Within walking distance of the circuit, if possible
      2) Hilton Baku, Park Inn by Radisson Baku, Marriott etc
      3) If you are just after tickets, buy from Gootickets. If you want additional activities, go for F1 Experiences
      4) Yes, if you buy a grandstand ticket, you can still enter the General Admission areas. Yes, grandstand seats are reserved. You can request to be higher up – Gootickets cannot guarantee, but will try to fulfil your requirements.
      5) Lots to see and do in this city. Check out Off-Track Activities for some ideas.

      1. Hi! coming back here a few years later. Is this still the case for point 4? With a grandstand ticket can you still access general admission viewpoints or other areas of the track?

  8. Hi Andrew,

Do they offer like brunch offers similar to Abu Dhabi GP weekend? Traveling from UAE for this years GP when released and after a full day hospitality offering.

Also does the tickets for the GP include the after show entertainment again similar to UAE event.

    Thanks in Advance

    1. Brunch at the track or in general? I’m not sure, sorry. But given that Baku probably gets a lot of visitors from UAE, it’s possible in some of the 5-star hotels I guess. And yes, tickets for the race do include the concerts – they are now held at Crystal Hall, which is a little distance away from the track. More info in Trackside

  9. Mark Winterbottom

Is it worth the extra to go in Absheron C over Absheron B? I appreciate that C is covered whereas B isn’t but some of the pictures I have seen suggest that B might actually give better views of the grid.

If C is the right answer, I would usually choose to go higher rather than lower but it appears that here, views from the upper level may be impeded by the Rolex advert above the track. Is this correct?

    1. Hi Mark, I haven’t personally sat in the Absheron. However, I do know that many of the seats have compromised views for different reasons. I’d go for C as it’s only $50 more and the roof will come in handy to keep out of sun/rain.

  10. Hi Andrew, I am going to this year’s Baku race. I am only going on race day so opted for a general admission ticket.

I was just wondering if you had any tips on the best locations around the track for people with general admission tickets?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Hi Fraser, I’m going as well for the first time this year – so I cannot recommend specific places. But I hear the General Admission views are not so good, because there is netting covering the inner fencing. My advice would have been to buy the cheapest grandstand seat, sorry! Check this new Trip Report out here.

  11. Hi
It’s my first gp to attend. Can you buy tickets on gates in baku GP? Is it more expensive?
Do you need physical tickets to enter or do websites provide you just a file to print it yourself? If physical tickets are needed, do they send you tickets to your country?!

    1. Hello, tickets are selling fast for the event – it’s better to buy in advance as tickets may not be available at the gates. I believe the tickets for grandstands are all e-tickets this year (probably some hospitality tickets are physical).

  12. Hi Andrew. Looking at going to Baku 2023. Is it like other GP events where there are a lot of bars and food outlets around the track or with it being a street race do you just have to use the ones that are already in place in the city? Many Thanks, John

    1. Good choice! I loved Baku and the race this year. I would say both. The fanzone on the Bulvar has both temporary bars/food outlets and also places that are normally there. Other parts of the track is the same, a mixture of both temporary food/drink and also established restaurants, fast food places.

    1. Good choice, I really enjoyed my trip to this race a few months ago. Not sure when tickets will go on sale, normally later in the year. It’s also possible that the race will move dates once again, perhaps back to September where it used to be

  13. Great website! Looking to head to Baku in 2023, how did you find the flights from England? I am really struggling to find good/cheap/quick routes to Baku.

    1. Hi Brad, I’m actually based in Poland and I flew direct from Warsaw with LOT Polish Airlines. This could be a good connection to fly via Warsaw from the UK. Other flights you may consider are with Wizz Air from Budapest. Also check Lufthansa, as they have a code share with Azerbaijan Airlines. I actually flew back with Lufthansa via Frankfurt. Also check this post for more info.

  14. Hi Andrew, do you know if Saturday-Sunday grandstand tickets will be released for 2023 or if only Friday-Sunday grandstand tickets are available?

  15. Hi!
When I went to Silverstone this summer we had reserved grandstand seats for the Sunday, but for the Friday / Saturday we were able go sit in any grandstand, it wasn’t reserved on those days. Do you know if its the same for Baku?
Also where would you recommend sitting?
    Thanks!

    1. No, it’s not the same in Baku – Silverstone is unique in this case (though some circuits still have Free Friday, where you are free to sit in any grandstand). Grandstands are reserved for all three days in Baku. As for recommended places to watch, I’d be going for Absheron or one of the grandstands close to that, like Bulvar or Sahil. I think you really want to be close to the Fanzone on the shorefront.

  16. Hi Andrew, looking to attend this race for the first time this year.

I was wondering if your aware of any spots to watch the action in the middle part of the lap. Such as GA or “unofficial GA” like the Marina area in Abu Dhabi.

It seems GA isn’t as expansive when compared to other city circuits like Singapore.

    Any tips appreciated.

    Thanks.

    1. Honestly, I’m not convinced that GA is very good in Azerbaijan. It’s quite difficult to get to different parts of the circuit, lots of roads closed etc. And no elevation, so mostly you will be looking at the fencing. Unofficial GA in Azerbaijan is more like apartment balconies, but you would need to know some locals or knock on doors to get to these. I’d recommend buying at least the cheapest grandstand so you have a seat for quali and the race; you could still walk around and check out the GA areas.

  17. Hi Andrew,

Do you know when does the ticket sell for the 2024 grand prix will start and what is the best way to buy ticket to the event?

    Thanks

  18. Hi Andrew, Thanks!

What is your recommendation regarding the grandstands available if I want to see some overtakes?

    1. For overtakes, I think the best would be the first corner, so that would be the Absheron E tickets. For cheaper tickets, you should also see some overtaking from the Azneft grandstand next to Turn 16

  19. Hey andrew,
Do you know the Single Prices for one day for Absheron( best sunday),sheher and mugham?
    Thanks for your answer

    1. Hi Lars, I don’t have a record of the single day ticket prices, only for 4 days.
This year, the prices were as follows:
      4-Day Absheron = $740-800 USD
      4-Day Icheri Sheher = $460 USD
      4-Day Mugham = $410 USD

Single-day roaming tickets (General Admission) were $70 on Friday, $90 on Saturday and $120 on Sunday

Remember when you are buying Sunday only tickets, the discount is not normally that much from the 4-day price

      Hope that helps

  20. hi
me and a friend planning to go to baku for the race 2024
as we are budjet planners we are looking for the areas called “general admission”
would you kindly tell us how we can buy our tickets
on your map i see 5 areas designated as “general admission”
can we buy one ticket and use all 5

    your help is appreciated

  21. hi
at this moment 3 days general admissinon tickets for Azerbaijan grand prix are for 148$ on viagogo,
could you tell me if it is real tickets or it is spam?
i want to buy tickets for Azerbaijan and i would be thankfull if you give me some advice for where to buy this tickets and how much would it costs?

    1. Viagogo shouldn’t be selling tickets as they are not officially on sale yet. What is happening is that a user is trying to sell tickets that they don’t have. Please don’t use Viagogo or similar sites unless all other ticket options are sold out. PLease be patient. Official tickets will be on sale soon. You can sign up to our mailing list (tick the box for Azerbaijan) and we will inform you when tickets are on sale. More information about the cost of tickets in Azerbaijan is here.

  22. Hi Andrew, any idea what the price difference is between a 3-day and 2-day pass?
Am I risking not being able to get any tickets if I pass on the 3-day option and wait for Sat-Sun only?

    1. 2-day passes I am not sure will be available. Anyway, the real money for the organizers is in Sunday tickets, so the price differential between 2-day and 3-day is often very small. Get your 3-day now, choose the best seats. Worst case scenario, you can try to sell your Friday pass on one of the resale platforms to get a bit of money back.

      1. Buongiorno.

Pensi che verranno messi in vendita o no?
(ho letto su reddit una cosa intellignete; ovvero che probabilmente il BCC aspetta a metterli più in là possibile per mettere sold out o quasi sold out le tribune)
ma comunque pensi verranno messi, o no?

          2. Non abbiamo motivo di pensare che quest’anno i biglietti per l’ingresso generale non saranno disponibili. Sono sempre stati disponibili. Penso che potresti avere ragione e lo lasceranno finché le tribune non saranno esaurite.

    1. None of these grandstands have the best views, but the prices reflect that. I’d probably go for Khazar as you have a better view of the cars approaching down the main straight, and can also see the other parallel section of the circuit quite well

    1. We don’t know exactly. Tickets for this year went on sale January 22, so that’s a good guideline. You can normally save up to 20% with early bird discounts for the first week or two of sales.
