One of the biggest surprises of the 2027 F1 calendar announcement was the fact that next year’s Monaco Grand Prix will feature an F1 Sprint race. Whatever you think about the merits of holding an F1 Sprint at Circuit de Monaco (and lots of people have opinions), we know one thing for sure based on recent experience. Ticket prices rise for races holding F1 Sprints, and demand for tickets across the whole weekend is higher. This is because there is more competitive on-track action, including Sprint Qualifying on Friday and the F1 Sprint on Saturday ahead of qualifying for the race.
Tickets recently went on sale for the 2027 Monaco Grand Prix. View the 2027 price list here and see below for 3-day ticket prices. Unsurprisingly, most tickets prices have increased substantially from 2026 to 2027:
- Thursday grandstand tickets are still the most affordable, but their price has increased by 33% from €30 to €40 (remember, F1 cars are not on the track on Thursday).
- The price of Friday grandstand tickets has increased by almost 43% (from €175 to €250 for all regular Friday grandstand tickets in 2027, an increase of almost 43%) and Saturday tickets (up 38-83% depending on the grandstand).
- The only prices that haven’t increased for 2027 are Sunday-only tickets in the higher priced grandstands.
- The substantial price increases for Friday and Saturday tickets have also contributed to overall increases in the price of 2-day and 3-day ticket packages in 2027. Higher priced grandstand packages (2-day and 3-day) cost around 15-20% more in 2027, whilst lower priced grandstand packages (also for 2-days and 3-days) have risen in price by as much as 40%.
Our ranking of 2027 ticket prices is expected to be published in early 2027. According to our ranking of 2026 Formula 1 ticket prices, Monaco sells the second-highest priced tickets on the current calendar. Whilst it is possible to do this race on a budget, Monaco is the kind of race weekend where it is worth spending more to get a better experience. In addition to expensive race tickets (especially on Saturday and Sunday), prices for accommodation, eating out and getting around are also expensive at this race, even if you stay in Nice like most other fans.

- Estimated weekend cost approx. €680 ($780 USD)
- 3-Day General Admission ticket (Rocher) = €350
- Hostel bed in Nice for 3 nights = €180 (€60 per night x 3)

- Friday Grandstand Ticket = €250
- Saturday & Sunday Grandstand T Lower Ticket = €1,305
- Mid-range hotel in central Nice for 3 nights = €450 (per person/double or twin share)

- Estimated weekend cost approx. €8,550 ($9,760 USD)
- 2-Day Champions Club: Ermanno Penthouse (Sat + Sun) = €7,200 approx

Hi
Our family of four is heading to the GP from Scotland with Grandstand tickets for the Sunday. We’re arriving Saturday and taking an apartment in Nice. What time should we get to Monaco on the Sunday, ie when does the action start as we don’t want to miss anything, thanks!
Hi Morag, if you are only going for race day, then I suggest you get up early and try to get to the track for about 9:30am. There are two support races in the morning (Porsche Supercup at 09:45 and Formula Renault 2.0 at 11:10). You will also want to soak up as much atmosphere as you can. Enjoy!
that’s really helpful, thanks very much, looking forward to it!
Hi, me and a small group of friends are looking to book an average joe Monaco GP 2017 weekend from England. Any advice you can offer on who/how to book with would be greatly appreciated
We did Monte Carlo as a package in 2016. If we did it again we would do it on our own. Easyjet flies from lots of airports to Nice. Then from Nice airport to Nice town is a short taxi fare and I mean short about 2 miles, pick a hotel near the station, there are a few to chose from and I would suggest Nice Riquier station as it is small (up line and down line) so easy to get on right train. Although at Grand Prix weekend there are clear signs directing race goers to the right platform. Once at the station select the yellow touch screen ticket machine and select English, the rest is follow the on screen prompts, make sure you have a card to pay. If you use a machine with the hand scroll option then I hope your French is good. Get on the train and enjoy the ride, make sure you sit next to the window on the right hand side as the view from the journey is second to none. You will know when you get to MOnte Carlo as it is in a huge red stone lined tunnel (polished granite I think) get off the train, go through security and you come out right on the first bend after the start/finish straight. It really is easy to do.
And viewing, we viewed from grandstand K2, expensive but the view was amazing. You could see them exit the tunnel, through the chicane, around tabac and disappear around the swimming pool chicane. Then if you were sat high you could turn around and catch a glimpse of the cars going through Beau Rivage. I would not book a package with coach transfers as Once raising is over it is a massive party, head for Slammers, it’s a free street party and the memories will live for you for ever. Don’t be put off by prices, yes you can pay a fortune if you want but as long as you are content to eat/drink as you walk amost places will do a large beer and a slice of pizza or hot dog or burger for around 10-12 euros. Hope this helps, wish I was going next year now
This is such a great help. Thank you. Planning out first visit this May to Grand Prix on a budget ?
Hi Ger
Curious to hear about your Monaco GP experience! I am looking at booking tickets for 2018 coming from Western Australia!
Hey Linda, it’s a long way from WA to Monaco. I actually used to live in Perth many years ago before moving to Europe. Let me know if you have specific questions as you plan your trip! Andy
I booked a room for the 2022 Monaco GP. What is the cheapest way to get into the race or can I just walk around for free? I’m trying to plan a trip.
The cheapest tickets are in the Rocher zone, which is a steep hill overlooking the circuit. But I don’t recommend this. Another cheap zone is called Z1, which is much better. Friday is free, so you can sit in the grandstands but there is no F1 action. Otherwise, the whole circuit is opened up at the end of each day and you can walk around and soak up the atmosphere.
Hello,
My wife and I, 25 and 23 year old fun professionals, are planning on going to the 2018 Grand Prix. We would like to get the VIP Yacht package for Saturday/Sunday, but we’re hoping to find 5 other people to split the cost with us. Could you suggest where I could find 5 other people who are willing to go? Or do you know of any service that will sell individual tickets for the Yacht?

Would love help planning a post college graduation trip for a few friends to the Monaco races May 2019. Somewhere between “budget” and “middle” rates . Advice appreciated . Would be flying from the east coast, USA
Hi, I am currently studying in Germany and planning to attend the Grand Prix in 2020. My plan is to stay in Nice, obviously because it is cheaper than staying in Monaco. I am wondering whether I can watch the race on the street without paying for a ticket or whether I can attend the activities without a ticket? I am a little bit short on a budget. Thanks for all your help :)
Hi Nilsu, you can still soak up the atmosphere in Monaco without a ticket. But if you are there for the whole weekend, I recommend buying a grandstand for Thursday (around 80 EUR). Friday entry is free, and there’s even racing. On the weekend, you can hang out in the fanzone in Place d’Armes with big screen – no ticket required.
What is the best way to combine the LeMan 24 Hr race and Monaco F1 for 2022?
I think you just need to make an itinerary. Where are you travelling from? The races are two weeks apart and pretty close geographically, so depends where you want to go in between. I’ve done both races, so let me know if you have more questions – you can write to me via email if you prefer.
Hello my family has already booked the trip for that week. Can you recommend a restaurant or rooftop that is moderately priced to watch the race on Sunday? Thank you
Hi Carlos, unfortunately the terraces/restaurants are super expensive on Sunday, minimum 1500 EUR per person. But you can get a terrace view with hospitality on Thursday (the first day of F1 action) for 250 EUR per person with our supplier.
Hi Andrew,
I’m looking for info on accessibility for next year’s F1. It’s one of our friends life dream to go to Monaco F1 (he even has a tattoo of the track) however we’ll need wheelchair access so just want to know what we’ll be in for with plenty of notice before tickets come on sale. Some sort of package would be great, but we just need to make sure we’ll be able to get around ok.
Tickets for Monaco normally go on sale quite early, maybe this month or next. Some F1 Experiences packages are already on sale for 2024. I think some grandstands will be easier to get to than others in Monaco, but generally it will be hard for a wheelchair user. Probably one of the rooftops or balcony terraces will be the best option, but these can be pricey. Feel free to reach out on email if you have some more questions.
