The Sepang circuit is located close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), which means there are plenty of airport hotels nearby. However, to get the most out of your weekend at the Malaysia Grand Prix, we recommend staying in the center of vibrant Kuala Lumpur and taking the train to the circuit each day. Kuala Lumpur is a world-class city with an excellent range of accommodation at competitive prices.

Stay Near Sepang Circuit & Kuala Lumpur International Airport
The Kuala Lumpur International Airport is located about 26 km from Sepang Circuit and most hotels around the area offer shuttle services to the circuit or you can also opt for a short Grab or taxi drive to the race track. A popular hotel in this area is the Sama-Sama Hotel which is accessible via a complimentary shuttle from the airport. Other hotels in the vicinity include Holiday Inn Sepang and Mรถvenpick Hotel and Convention Centre KLIA.
Stay in Putrajaya
To minimise travel time to the circuit, we recommend checking out accommodation in Malaysiaโs administrative capital, Putrajaya. Located roughly 30 minutes from the Sepang International Circuit, Putrajaya is one of the most convenient places to stay and offers a quieter alternative to the bustle of the capital. Choose from several well-appointed hotels, including DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, Putrajaya Marriott and Dorsett Putrajaya. The area is also well connected by road and rail, allowing visitors to travel easily to both the circuit and Kuala Lumpur if they wish to explore the city outside the race weekend.

Stay in Downtown Kuala Lumpur
Located approximately an hour’s drive from the Sepang International Circuit, downtown Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia’s bustling capital and largest city. As the country’s biggest commercial and cultural hub, it offers the widest selection of accommodation, ranging from internationally recognised luxury hotels to independently owned boutique properties. Many of the world’s leading hotel brands are based here, including Grand Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, W Kuala Lumpur and Novotel Kuala Lumpur., offering convenient access to the city’s shopping, dining and nightlife districts. For travellers seeking a more personalised and design-led experience, the Golden Triangle is also home to a growing number of boutique hotels such as RuMa Hotel and Residences, KLoe Hotel, Else Kuala Lumpur and The Chow Kit, each offering a distinct sense of place, personalised service and easy access to many of the city’s main attractions.
Stay near KL Sentral Station
For those planning to travel to Sepang via train, the best location to stay is close to KL Sentral Station which offers direct train services to Sepang. Several hotels are located within easy reach of the station, including Le Mรฉridien which is just a short walk away, and The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, connected to the station via a covered pedestrian bridge. Both hotels offer comfortable accommodation while placing guests within easy access of the city’s extensive rail network, restaurants and nearby attractions.
