Where to Stay for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku

The best places to stay near Baku City Circuit for F1 fans attending the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix on September 24-26

Since the Azerbaijan Grand Prix is a street race in the center of the city, you’ll have the best experience staying downtown. There’s a good selection of hostels, apartments and hotels to choose from in Baku, though international chain hotels are priced at a large premium on race weekend. Baku is not the biggest city, so you’ll need to book early to get the best hotels at the most competitive prices.

The Best Trackside Hotels in Baku

Most F1 teams and drivers stay at either the Hilton Baku or the JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel (main picture above), which are located at either end of the F1 Paddock at Baku City Circuit. Selected rooms at both hotels enjoy track views, especially the ‘Sea View’ rooms and suites a the JW Marriott, which overlook the first corner. Adjacent to the JW Marriott and occupying a prime stretch of beachfront land is the 230-room Crescent Hotel, part of an architecturally significant development that was completed in 2024 and is designed to resemble an upside down crescent moon.

Another high-end trackside option is the Four Seasons Hotel Baku, which sits on the inside of the Azneft corner (Turn 16). Rooms at the Four Seasons categorised as ‘Caspian Sea’ or ‘Promenade View’. Selected rooms at the Radisson Hotel Baku, situated next to the Hilton, also enjoy views of the start-finish straight. (On the same block as the Radisson Blue, but without track views, the Dinamo Hotel Baku is another solid 5-star hotel within easy walking distance of the pits and paddock.) Expect high prices at all of these hotels on race weekend, but the opportunity to rub shoulders with F1’s elite!

Other international chain hotels nearby include, but without direct track views, include the Hyatt Regency Baku, Holiday Inn Baku and the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard. The Courtyard by Marriott Baku, housed in a stunning historic building, is also within walking distance of Baku City Circuit. Though not part of an international chain, the Landmark Hotel Baku is a modern, high-end property with stunning views (and even partial, distant track views) from the rooms, which are on the 17th and 18th floors. The Landmark’s 22nd floor rooftop terrace with bar and restaurant also offers panoramic skyline and circuit views with F1 parties on race weekend. A little further afield (up the hill to be precise) is one of Baku’s finest 5-star hotels, Fairmont Baku, Flame Towers. As the name suggests, it’s located in one of the three Flame Towers that tower over the city and light up at night.

Trackside & Old Town Hotels in Baku

Local hotels with track views include Dondar Hotel (‘Superior Double Formula 1 View’ rooms), which overlooks the section of track between Turns 1 and 2, and Boutique 19, which is next to the famously narrow section of the track entering the Old Town. Boutique 19 is a 5-star hotel located in a beautifully renovated historic building with an indoor swimming pool. Certain rooms do offer track views, as well as the rooftop area, and special F1 deals are offered. Also offering direct views of the section of track at Turn 14 is Liman Hotel Baku, and trackside facing rooms with balconies are available. The Promenade Hotel Baku, adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel, also fronts on to the track with the best views from rooms facing Neftchilar Avenue and the Caspian Sea.

There’s plenty of more affordable hotel and apartments close to the track, especially in the beautiful Old Town of Baku. The circuit winds around the historic Old Town, which is one of the best areas to stay in the city. As well as being close to the circuit, the Old Town offers some of the city’s best restaurants and nightlife. Recommended places to stay in the Old Town include The Merchant Baku, Utopia Hotel Baku, Royal Antique Boutique Hotel and Deniz Inn Hotel.

It’s worth noting that access to some hotels can be severely restricted on race weekend due to road closures. Be sure to check the location of a hotel you are considering booking with the location of your seats. In some cases, it may be worth taking the metro, for example one stop one the red line from Icherisheher station in the Old Town to Sahil station, which is closer to the grandstands and paddock on the start-finish straight.

A WORD OF WARNING: Be careful with booking apartments that claim to offer trackside views or balconies overlooking the circuit. Some international fans have been scammed when booking such apartments, even via major booking portals. If you want trackside views, book a hotel instead.

Don’t discount staying outside the city center if you want to save some money, but make sure you choose somewhere close to a metro station.
